Painting Holidays
In addition to conventional holidays we are offering water or oil colour art courses for painters and non painting companions in the spring and autumn. 
The courtyard, pigeonnier, lake and woodlands provide endless subjects to paint.
Beginners and intermediate artists will find the opportunity to share their enthusiasm and develop confidence in the techniques of painting and drawing. The course is designed to identify the student's strengths and to build on these. For three hours a day over five days you will be given personal attention, an opportunity to explore your potential and have fun! You will leave with a set of skills and confidence for a lifetime of painting and drawing.
The course will be run by Lynn Ralph, an art teacher who 
studied for 7 years under Bill Ainslie at the Johannesburg art Foundation in South Africa. Lynn has had more than 15 years of teaching experience and has exhibited widely.She is qualified to teach drawing and painting in many media. All materials can be made available at the course at cost and comprehensive notes will be provided.
In order to keep costs down we operate on a self catering basis and the cost for a week including tuition is £550 per couple. In addition we have a smaller "bed & breakfast" cottage-Lake View-which has a fridge and basin but no kitchen and where the cost is £450 per couple. Individuals are also welcome to stay at lake View at a cost of £375 including breakfast. all the prices quoted would reduce by £70 for a non painting companion and include linen. It would be possible to extend your holiday on a "non painting" basis.
All very well you say but how do we get there! Easy-Ryanair fly from Stanstead and flybe.com from Southampton and Bristol-all to Bergerac. Hertz and Avis have desks there and we are 45 minutes away.
To reserve your place, please contact us with your dates and then send a cheque payable to Mrs. L.Crowcroft for a third of the cost by way of a non refundable deposit. The reservation will be held for seven days after which time, if the cheque has not arrived, the cottage will still be considered available for letting. We would like you to pay the balance one month before your holiday please.
